Hi,

Do you have a clunker you want to trade in & get the $4500? Well, I just saw on TV that going on the gov website is not a good idea cause you agree to terms & conditions...be sure to read them...and once you agree, the next page says your computer & everything on it belongs to the Federal Government...and at the end of that window it says something about sharing your data with domestic and foreign entities...don't know exact quote.

This makes me wonder about going on any gov't site. I generally visit the IRS.gov site & medicare.gov site several times a year, but I think I'll go to the library to do it from now on...this is scarystuff.

If anyone has actually read those terms & conditions, I hope you will post a reply.

Aloha, Linda

Yeah, I wish I knew what was going on also.

Many years ago our Federal Government declared such tie-ins illegal but we've gone through so many administrations since then who knows just who untied what knots.

I visited that site a few days ago, and don't remember receiving any notice like you mentioned. I read their Privacy Policy today, but don't see anything unusual about it; looks safe and benign.

Besides, if the government wanted to "get us", it wouldn't need to trick us into visiting a certain website...they could do it much easier through other means - like monitoring and capturing every single computer's internet activity under pretense of National Security/Patriot Act, etc. Maybe they already are? Shocked

Bill, long time no see,

I have heard from many sources that it is already out of money and the dealers are very angry because they already purchased their advertizing and cannot stop their buy.
I heard from a third or forth in line source that they just voted more money to the service.
