Hi all,

I sometimes receive mini CDs with devices/peripherals that I purchase, such as flash drives, external drives...maybe camera, MP3 players, et al. I have slot CD drives on both computers so I don't see any way I can use the minis....any suggestions?

So far the computers have automatically installed my devices, but one of my OS is XP, so there may come a day when something will not intall.

Thanks for your expertise.

Aloha, Linda

I thought the minis fit on to the same tray and would play. Mine has a circular groove inside where the larger disk would sit. Doesn't your's also have that?

I would suspect that the slot drive would handle the mini's but I would try to find the user manual or possibly find it online to be sure.

Copy the contents of the drive to something else. A large CD or a flash drive.

Most peripheral manufacturers have a support web page where you can download the latest drivers and archive them for later use.

Obviously copying the contents to a regular CD or a flash drive is the only solution in the replies...looks like someone would come up with a fix for this....a reg CD sized part for the minis...

So to get the contents, I need to find a computer with a regular CD drive & USB port...maybe a neighbor would be so kind & I won't have to drive anywhere. Very Happy

Thanks guys, you pretty much confirmed my option.
